A kitchen or bathroom can be much more than a practical space. It can also be a place to bring in colour, nature and something that feels completely personal to you.
This is what I love about creating my handmade ceramic tiles.
I am inspired by nature, the natural world and my fascination with pattern & colour , and I enjoy creating highly individual and original tiles with real personality. Some feature birds full of movement, others are creatures with character, insects, fish or brightly coloured tropical designs.
Making a splashback personal
Handmade tiles can be used in many different ways. You might choose a few picture tiles and combine them with my matching plain tiles, create a more decorative splashback, or use a group of tiles to make a feature in a bathroom.
You don’t have to cover an entire wall with handmade tiles either, my tiles are designed to work with other tiles from other manufacturers. A small number of individual picture tiles can bring colour and personality to an otherwise simple scheme.
I particularly enjoy helping people find combinations that work together — choosing the background colour, the designs and the plain tiles to create something that feels right for their home.
What could you have painted?
Perhaps you have a favourite bird or animal, memories of somewhere you’ve travelled, or simply an idea for something colourful and unusual.
I also love creating custom-made tile designs just for you. A bespoke tile can be a wonderful way of putting something personal into a kitchen or bathroom rather than choosing something mass-produced.
Every tile is individually made and painted, so there will always be small variations that are part of its handmade character.
