Our Persian glazes are created with natural minerals & are all made here from scratch in our little ol’studio .
We carefully make all our glazes by hand & love experimenting with new colours & tones .
Always inspired by the natural world around us , our colours reflect the wonderful colours of nature – this Iris tile uses the minerals of Cobalt & Copper in different quantities to produce rich Ultramarines , Turquoises & Pale blues…
Whereas Iron Oxide gives us yellows , ambers & soft Browns !
As seen here in this detail from our Iris tile , they produce these intense , glossy colours with a fine crackle finish … a real decorative feature .
Here is fun fact … when we hand paint our tiles , all our glazes are a different colour in their raw , unfired state to how they look when they emerge form the kiln !
Remember – all our hand made tiles are sealed as standard before dispatch , which means they are suitable for any bathroom , kitchen or outdoor wall as they will be waterproof.
So practical & beautiful !
