A really unusual way of using our splashback tiles 🙂
Our latest custom made tile commission was working with a very creative customer from Australia who wanted to create a tile mural for her new kitchen – with a difference …
She requested that the tile panel was made up of lots of different sized tiles to create the design of baby birds in a nest .
She wanted the different sizes of tiles to reflect the ‘ busy- ness ‘ of the birds feeding their demanding brood of chicks !
The photo is a detail of the handpainted tile panel , the other tile sizes are 10x10cms , 15x15cms , 5x20cms & even a little 5x5cms !
All hand decorated with our unique Persian glazes & our beautiful Celadon glaze as a background colour.
Celadon is one of our most popular glaze colours as it works so well as a kitchen backsplash or bathroom splashback .
Have to say this was a new way of working for us but we think the tile design has worked really well !
